Abstract:A kind of manufacturing process of metal alloy powder by gas atomization laser cladding , including
batching, smelting, atomization, gas flow classification, and other processes were introduced. The particle of metal
powder produced by this method is close to ball shape with high apparent density, good fluidity and low oxygen
content. Through laser cladding test, the cladding layer was dense and uniform, free from cracks and pores, and the
body did not crack. It was a complete metallurgical combination with the substrate. The hardness could reach to
HRC50 or more. Comparing with the original middle trough, the service life of the middle trough of the scraper
conveyor is more than 5 times longer, which can provide a high quality metal powder raw material for the laser
cladding industry.
