Abstract:The effects of binder design and die design on the quality control of NC thread insert were studied. The
results show that the powder loading of ultra-fine cemented carbide NC thread blade injection molding can reach
58% through the selection of appropriate binder. The NC thread blade injection blank obtained by mixing and injec‐
tion molding has less burr and no defects such as sandwich and delamination. Optimizing the mold design can en‐
sure the density uniformity of the tool tip of the NC thread blade injection blank, eliminate the weld mark on the
surface of the injection blank, and improve the appearance quality of the NC thread blade.
