Abstract:Manganese trioxide was prepared with manganese sulfate as raw material and oxygen as oxidant. The
effects of different PH regulators(sodium hydroxide, ammonia and compound additives)on the phase composi‐
tion, microstructure and specific surface area of the product were studied. The results show that sodium impurity
(Na
2Mn3O7)and manganese ammonia complex ([ NH4)Mn8O16] are introduced into the preparation of Mn3O4 with
sodium hydroxide and ammonia as PH regulator, respectively. The content of manganese was low and the purity of
the product was poor. Manganese trioxide prepared with compound additives as PH regulator has good crystallini‐
ty, no other peaks are generated and no introduction of other impurity ions. Micromorphology is spherical particles,
particle size is about 120 nm, pore is small, specific surface area is 10.15 m2/g, hysteresis loop type is H3, pore
structure is rich.
