Abstract The development status of iron and steel powder industry at home and abroad was introduced. The development trend of powder market and technology in China was mainly introduced, including: the development status of powder metallurgy products industry, the development trend of iron and steel powder market, iron and steel powder products technology, and iron and steel powder equipment. The variety structure, quality status and existing problems of iron and steel powder products were analyzed, and suggestions for the future development were put forward.
