Abstract Injection molding is an effective technique for producing near net shape magnets. In order to prepare bonded NdFeB permanent magnet material with good comprehensive performance by injection molding, the effects of binder on the magnetic properties, workability and mechanical properties of injection molding magnets were studied. The effects of additives such as silicone coupling agent, compound lubricants and antioxidant on the properties of injection molding magnets were also discussed. Results show that the injection molding bonded magnets can be prepared by using the MQP-B rapidly quenched NdFeB magnetic powder and polyamide 12 binder. The magnets has good magnetic properties, with residual magnetic flux density of 0.539 T, induction coercivity force of 345.37 kA/m, intrinsic coercivity force of 681.02 kA/m, and the maximum magnetic energy product of 47.37 kJ/m3.
