Abstract In this paper, the basic principle of first principles in material calculation is briefly introduced, and its
progress in the research of superconducting materials, especially in the field of superconductivity, is summarized,
which provides theoretical support for the further development of new superconducting materials and their practi‐
cal application; The shortcomings and suggestions of first principles calculation in the field of superconducting
materials are put forward, and its research prospect in the mechanism of superconducting principles is prospected.
