Abstract Bio-3D printing is an important bio-manufacturing technique, which is the extension of manufacturing from using single structural materials and functional materials to using biological materials and life materials, but also the cross-integration of engineering, materials, information, life sciences and other disciplines. The concept, features and applications of biological 3D printing technology were introduced. The rapid developing cell printing and organ printing technology were described with emphasis, and the latest development trends in biological 3D printing technology was introduced.
