Abstract In order to improve the comprehensive performance of engine, TiZr- based amorphous alloy
(Ti35ZR30Cu24V7. 5Mo3. 5) was prepared by spark plasma sintering and powder metallurgy. The effects of sintering
temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TiZr-based amorphous alloy were studied. The
results show that there are two forms of crystal (BCC and FCC) in the microstructure of TiZr-based amorphous alloy,
and the diffraction peak intensity of BCC is higher than that of FCC. Meanwhile, many dispersed FCC structures
are found in the BCC grain and grain boundary region. With the increase of sintering temperature, the plasticity
of the alloy is first strengthened and then weakened, and the density increases. When the sintering temperature
rises to 1 100 ℃, the compressive strength reduces and the plasticity improves obviously as more large grains are
generated. Under 1 100 ℃, the alloy exhibits good ductility and toughness due to obvious dimples at the fracture
site.With the rising of sintering temperature, the samples transform from intergranular fracture to brittle fracture.
