Abstract Copper slag is a solid waste produced by smelting copper, which is called a "secondary mineral" be‐
cause it is rich in valuable metal components. The accumulated copper slag has brought a huge burden to the en‐
vironment and ecology, encroaching on land resources, polluting the water environment and the atmosphere. In
order to find an efficient treatment method for copper slag, the latest research results on the comprehensive utili‐
zation of copper slag are reviewed, and the advantages and disadvantages of physical utilization, fire, wet, com‐
bined, and biological treatment of copper slag are analyzed, to provide research direction to realize the resource
utilization of copper slag.
