Abstract:A vacuum rapid quenching cooling copper roller with multi- channel spiral water circuit structure which parallel to each other was designed. The flow field and temperature field in the normal structure and improved structure are compared and analyzed by numerical simulation. The simulation results show that the cooling water can through the multi- channel spiral water circuit of cooling copper roller in a short period of time, with the faster outlet water flow and high temperature. It showed that the design of multi- channel spiral water circuit of parallel structure, cooling water can take more heat, so has higher heat exchange capacity. On this basis, a cooling copper roller with 4- channel spiral water circuit of parallel structure has been designed and applied to vacuum rapid quenching experiment, and a significant practical result has been achieved.
