Abstract:The stator core loss analysis in motor design of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is critical. The eddy loss model is introduced to calculate the influence of coating insulation resistance on the stator core loss, based on a 500W AC PMSM model established by Opera software. The results showed that the coating insulation resistance affects the stator core loss by changing the eddy current loss, when the coating insulation resistance is above 50Ω·mm2, the stator core loss is basically maintained. When the coating insulation resistance is less than 0. 01Ω·mm2, the stator core loss is largest. The stator core loss increased by 0. 22% when the coating insulation resistance is reduced from 300Ω·mm2 to 50Ω·mm2. The stator core loss increased by 19. 70% when the coating insulation resistance is reduced from 300Ω·mm2 to 0. 01Ω·mm2.
