Abstract:Four samples of Gd3Al2-xGax(x=0,0. 1,0. 2,0. 3)were prepared in a high- frequency floating furnace. The samples were divided into two parts: one part without heat treatment, the other for annealing treatment put in vacuum sintering furnace. Firstly,the adiabatic temperature of samples before and after heat treatment was measured by direct measurement of magnetocaloric effect instrument under magnetic field change of 1. 5 T. Then,the Structure was measured by XRD. Finally,the microstructure and morphology of typical sample was observed by SEM. The results showed that the structure of Gd3Al2-xGax alloys is the same before and after heat treatment; the biggest Curie temperature declines 2 K; the main phase increases, the mixed phase decreases; the diabatic temperature change is improved.
