Abstract:TiO2 thin films have been prepared by the sol–gel method on the surface of common glass substrate (50 mm×2 mm×2 mm) by a controllable dip-coating device in an ambient atmosphere. The effect of the treatment temperature of TiO2 thin film on crystalline phase is analyzed firstly by XRD. The result indicates that increasing heat treating temperature can lead to an increase in crystalline degreed. Furthermore, study on keeping temperature time shows that prolonging the keeping temperature time can also lead to an increase in crystalline degreed and ever lead to a phase transition from anatase to rutile. In addition, study on photocatalysis property of TiO2 thin film shows that the number of layers of TiO2 thin film and dopants to photocatalysis property of TiO2 thin film present obvious effects. Increasing the number of layers, degradation rate of TiO2 thin film on methylorange presents a gradual increasing trend. When the number of layers reached 4 and 5, degradation rate of methyl orange is very close. Differently, study on Ce and La-doped TiO2 thin films shows that the degradation ration of methyl orange presents an increase and then decrease trend with the increase of the amount of Ce and La.
