Abstract:Calcium acuminate matrix (CaAl12O19) was prepared at temperatures 1 500 ℃ by solid state reaction, and the influences of the concentration of H3BO3 on the basis of the optimal Cr-doping amount in CaAl12O19 phosphor are also discussed in detail. XRD indicated a high purity crystalline phase was synthesized at the temperature, the optimal concentration of H3BO3 is 3 mol%; a spectroscopy analysis of Cr3+ doped CaAl12O19 based on excitation spectrum and emission spectra was performed. Broad band excitation spectra are observed with 415 nm and 580 nm, respectively owing to the 4A2→4T1and 4A2→4T2 transition of Cr3+ ion, and emission spectra with the strongest emission peak at 685 nm owing to the 2E2→4A2 transition of Cr3+ ion. Also the influences of the concentration of Cr3+ ion on the luminescent properties in CaAl12O19 compounds were investigated,which the optimal concentration is 3 mol%. CaAl12O19∶Cr3+ is an excellent deep red light-emitting phosphors through its chromaticity diagram(x=0.679 93,y=0.319 83).
