Abstract:he deep supercooling rapid solidification characteristics of Pb27Sb3Sn70 ternary eutectic alloy was investigated via the molten glass purification technology. The effect of the undercooling on the phase composition, solidification path and morphology evolution law of the alloy were discussed. Results indicated that: the phase composition of the Pb27Sb3Sn70 ternary alloy are consistent in different conditions.With the increase of the undercooling rate, the primary phase was refinement with the microstructure changing from the bulky dendrite to spore shape, and the macrosegregation was enhanced with increasing undercooling rate.
