Abstract:LiMnO2 and LiMn1-xTixO2 (x=0. 01, 0. 02, 0. 03) cathode materials were successfully prepared by the hydrothermal route. The crystal structure and electrochemical performances of Ti-doped LiMnO2 were investigated by X-ray diffraction and electrochemical methods. The results showed that Ti4+ doping on the material can reduce material crystallinity and still keep the layered structure of LiMnO2. When LiMn1-xTixO2, x=0. 02, the material under room temperature at 0. 1 C discharge rate possessed a maximum discharge capacity of 184. 52 mA·h/g and after 20 cycles, the capacity retention was 93. 7%. Cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance test indicated that the material LiMn0. 98Ti0. 02O2 under 2. 0 ~4. 5 V has the better reversibility than LiMnO2 and the smaller polarization resistance.
