Abstract:Riveting is the most common method of assembling aircraft thin-walled parts. It is important to ef?ciently analyze and estimate the deformation of the riveting joint for the performance, fatigue durability and damage of the riveting structure in the aircraft. Numerical simulation and experimental analysis of riveting deformation are carried out. Firstly, the ?nite element model is established and validated by the relationship between riveting force and formed head dimension. Secondly fatigue tests were carried out on the numerical simulation of dynamic servo-hydraulic fatigue machine. And the specimens of rivet necks in different conditions and its shapes were tested using a sinusoidal waveform with a frequency of in tension-tension with a stress ratio, .Then the fatigue strength curves of the rivet necks were obtained . And a quantitative expression is put forward for expressing the fatigue life of rivet necks.
