Abstract:Soft magnetic properties of grain-oriented electrical steels and amorphous strips show different measurement results when the pressure upon the lap joints is zero or 1 N. The result shows that the values of exciting power and core loss measured is almost the same for grain-oriented electrical steels. As to amorphous ribbons, the values of exciting power and core loss measured is obviously larger with pressuring upon the lap joints, when the magnetic flux density is 1.4 T, the exciting power is 15% higher and the core loss is 5.8% higher.
