Effects of magnetic heat treatment on the magnetic properties of Fe-based nanocrystalline alloy

Abstract:The effect of magnetic field heat treatment was investigated at different conditions of the process on magnetic properties of Fe based nanocrystalline ribbons. The results show that magnetic permeability of Fe based nanocrystalline materials with the range of 0~10 kHz increase rapidly with increasing the temperature of applied magnetic field. In contrast, the magnetic permeability shows a slight change above 10 kHz. Compared with the ordinary heat treatment results, applying magnetic field, in the range of 0~50 kHz, can improve magnetic permeability of the materials below 400 ℃, while applying magnetic field can decline magnetic permeability above 400 ℃. Applying magnetic field can also improve magnetic permeability of materials above 50 kHz.
