Abstract:The properties of 2A12 aluminum alloy powder fabricated by hot isostatic pressing with different process parameters were studied. The results show that the axial shrinkage is smaller than radial shrinkage for cylindrical specimens. The properties of 2A12 aluminum alloy specimens will be sharply decreased when the temperature is too high during hot isostatic pressing, leading to cracks and defects occurring during subsequent heat treatment. The microstructure and mechanical properties of materials can be improved by adjusting the process parameters.
