Abstract:Connecting rod was produced with new-developed powder material FDCC01. The chemical composition, metal streamline, microstructure, nonmetallic inclusions, mechanical properties, machining properties and fatigue properties of the connecting rod were tested. The results show that the performance of the connecting rod produced with powder forging is equivalent to the performance of the connecting rod produced with non-quenched and tempered steel C70S6. Thus the connecting rod can be produced with powder material FDCC01 instead of C70S6.
