Abstract:In this paper, the effects of two kinds of pore-forming agents on the properties of Al based binders with AlSi20 as the main component were studied by adding graphite and hollow glass microspheres with the same volume fraction. The results show that for the same volume fraction of graphite and hollow glass microspheres, the influence of graphite on the density, hardness and bending strength of aluminum based binder is greater than that of hollow glass microspheres. The distribution of graphite and hollow glass microsphere is uniform, and there is no segregation. The hollow glass microsphere with larger particle size is broken.
