Abstract:Sintering process was the core process of preparing fiber felt. Sintering temperature and holding time
were two key points in the sintering process. The changes of surface morphology and sintering point size of 6 μm
stainless steel fiber felt at different sintering temperature and holding time were observed by scanning electron microscopy.
The effects of grain size and sintering point size of fibers on the mechanical properties of fiber felt were
tested and a geometric model of sintering of ultrafine fibers was proposed. This provides data reference for the
preparation of high precision stainless steel fiber felt.
