Abstract:Porous Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy was prepared with powder sintering method by taking Ti, Al, and Nb powders as raw material. Effect of mixing time, pressing pressure, sintering temperature and sintering time on porosity was studied through orthogonal experiments. Results show that the sequence of the influence importance of four factors is sintering temperature, sintering time, pressing pressure and mixing time. Considering porosity and pore distribution of materials for orthopedic implantation, the optimal process parameters are set as mixing time of 4 h, pressing pressure of 100 MPa, sintering temperature of 1 100 ℃ and sintering time of 2.5 h. Porosity of porous Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy prepared with the optimal process parameters is 32% and pore size are mainly of 5-12 μm.
