Powder metallurgy die design for timing pulley |

Abstract Based on the structure features of timing pulley, the powder metallurgy die structure was designed and its working principle was discussed. The timing pulley had the characteristics of center hole, inside and outside steps, so the compensation method was adopted for powder filling, and floating pressing, liftout demoulding with assistant cylinder were also employed. The practice had proved that the die structure is reasonable, product quality is reliable and effect is good. Because there are inner steps within the female die, it requires stable loose density for the powder.
