不同粒径的SiC体积配比对SiCp/Al基复合材料显微组织和拉伸性能的影响

Abstract In order to study the influence of volume ratio of SiC with different particle sizes on the microstructure and tensile properties of SiCp/Al composites， the mixtures of SiC particles with pure Al powder were fabricated into 10% SiCp/Al (volume percent) composites by high pressure torsion (HPT) method. The particle size of SiC particle is 3.5 μm (small) and 7.0 μm (large)， respectively， and the volume ratio of the small and large SiC particle is 4∶1， 1∶1 and 1∶4. The effects of SiC volume ratio on the microstructure and tensile properties of SiCp/Al matrix composites were studied by optical microscope， universal testing machine and scanning electron microscope. Results show that， with the increase of torsion radius， the distribution of SiC particles is more uniform and the particle agglomeration and segregation phenomenon decreases. The sample has the best performance when the volume ratio of small and large size SiC particle is 1∶1. The sample has the best elongation of 14.3% and the highest relative density of 99.1%. The tensile fracture of composite is ductile fracture.
