Abstract The combination of scanning electron microscope and ball milling instrument can effectively, accurately and comprehensively detect the performance of hard alloy NC blade coating. The results show that scanning electron microscope can be used to observe the morphology of the coating surface and cross section, energy spectrometer can be used to semi-quantify the coating composition, and ball milling instrument can be used to quickly and accurately detect the thickness of the coating and qualitatively analyze the bonding strength of the coating. The experimental results have a good guiding effect on the mechanism research, process research and quality control of hard alloy coating.
