Abstract This paper analyzed and studied the chemical composition, density, hardness, metallography and fracture
morphology of the cracks, and discussed the rationality of finishing die and finishing process. The results show
that the unreasonable design of finishing die is the main reason for the surface crack of bearing pedestal. After the
optimization design of finishing die, the test results show that all indexes of the product meet the requirements, the
improvement effect is obvious.
