Effect of solution treatment on microstructure and properties of P/M superalloy FGH91 |

Abstract The effect of solution treatment on the microstructure and properties of FGH91 was studied. The re‐
sults show that when FGH91 alloy is treated at a solution temperature below γ ' solidus, with the increase of solu‐
tion temperature, the grain size of FGH91 alloy has no obvious change, the content of primary γ 'phase decreases.
The size and content of secondary γ' phase increase gradually with the increase of solution temperature. The hard‐
ness and tensile strength at room temperature and high temperature tensile strength of FGH91 alloy increase with
the increase of solution temperature. With the decrease of cooling rate after solution treatment, the grain bound‐
ary bending amplitude and frequency increase, and the stress rupture life and creep property of FGH91 alloy is
improved.
