Study on density and microstructure uniformity of 97WNiFe oversized parts |

Abstract With fine tungsten powder, electrolytic nickel powder and carbonyl iron powder as raw material, the oversized parts 97W2Ni1Fe alloy was prepared by liquid phase sintering. The weight of 97W2Ni1Fe oversized parts was 66 kg and the size was [?]120 mm×320 mm. The oversized part was cut into 52 parts, and then densities and microstructure of the 52 parts were measured and analyzed, respectively, to study the density and microstructure uniformity. Results show that the density and microstructure of the oversized tungsten alloy have regular distribution. Because of time effect of heat conduction during sintering, the density and tungsten particle size both decrease gradually from surface to the interior of the workpieces.
