Synthesis and luminescent properties of CaMoO4 : Eu3+, M+(M=Li, Na, K) phosphors |

Abstract Ca1-1.5xMoO4:xEu3+ and Ca0.5MoO4:0.25Eu3+,M+(M=Li,Na,K) phosphors were prepared successfully via sol-gel method. The crystal structure, particle morphology and luminescent properties of the samples were analyzed. The results showed that samples belong to tetragonal crystal system. The morphology of samples was nearly spherical with size ranging from 2~3μm. The excitation spectras show excitation peaks locate 364nm, 386nm, 396nm, 419nm and 466nm respectively. The strongest excitation peak locates 396nm. The emission spectras of samples exhibit emission peaks locate 596nm, 616nm, 656nm and 704nm individually, characteristic emission peak locate 616nm. When Eu3+ ion doping concentration was 25mol%, the luminescent intensity reaches maximum value. Among Li+, Na+ and K+ introduced as charge compensating agent, the effect of Li+ on the luminescent intensity is the most significant.
