Abstract In order to obtain high-performance ,high-stability PCBN composites, the influence of different Si
content on the synthesis and properties of PCBN composites were studied. cBN (particle size 1-3 μm,purity
99.9%),TiN (particle size 1-2 μm,purity 99.5%),Al (particle size 1-2 μm,purity 99.5%),Si powder (particle size
1-3μm,Purity 99.9%) are raw materials. After high-temperature vacuum treatment,the PCBN composites is synthe‐
sized on a six-side top press.Through the analysis of the phase, hardness,abrasion ratio,impact times and micro
morphology of the PCBN composites,when the content of Si powder in the mixed raw material is 5%, the abrasion
ratio, microhardness value, flexural strength and impact times of the PCBN composite sheet all reach the maxi‐
mum, which are 6800, 37.7 GPa, 785 MPa and 90 times, respectively.
