Abstract The effect of volume fraction of secondary phase on Ostwald ripening was overviewed， the Ostwald ripening theories including LSW theory and modern Ostwald ripening theories were also addressed， with focus on the effect of volume fraction of secondary phase on Ostwald ripening.
