Abstract:Influence of various smelting temperature, holding time and end-point temperature on the conglomeration, growing and separation of the Cr-Fe alloy during voluminal reduction on chromite ore fines containing silicon heated by microwave was studied. The chemical composition of reduction products Cr-Fe alloy was also analyzed. The results show that the reduction product Cr-Fe alloy conglomerates to block and separates from slags preferably at smelting temperature of 1 300 ℃, holding time of 40 minutes and end-point temperature of 1 450 ℃. The composition of reduction products Cr-Fe alloy meets requirements of (GB5683-87) FeCr55C25II.
