Abstract:Reaction kinetics between NiO powder with two different particle sizes and mixed gas with different
CO2/CO proportion was researched based on thermogravimetric analysis. And the conversion of NiO was discussed
by carbon deposition characteristic of NiO powder before and after reaction. It was found that the initial
temperature for NiOpowder reduction reaction with CO was 420 ℃, and the reaction rate and conversion of NiO increased
with higher temperature. Carbon deposition of NiO powder influence the conversion of NiO badly, which
make reaction transfer from chemical reaction control to diffusion control. And reducing the concentration of CO
can reduce the influence that carbon deposition acts to conversion.
