Abstract:Abstract:In this paper, Fe-C, Fe-Ni-Cu-C and other mixed powders were prepared by mixing method. Scanning
electron microscope (SEM) was used to observe the morphology and structure of powders after mixing and curing.
The effects of different reinforcement content on the segregation, flow rate, apparent density and compressibility of
the mixed powder, the change of transverse fracture strength(TRS) of green parts and after curing of green parts
were studied, and the green machining property was tested .The results show that the composition segregation of
the mixed powder can be reduced and the flow rate of the powder can be improved by adding more than 0.1% reinforcing
agent. The Fe- C′ s TRS of the green parts without reinforcing agent is 12.5 MPa, the TRS of the green
parts with 0.1% reinforcing agent is 14.6 MPa, and TRS of the curing green parts can reach 46.9 MPa. After curing,
the reinforcing agent can form polymer film on the surface of the particles, which improves the bonding
strength between the particles. The cylinder and flange prepared by this technology have good machining properties,
All parts can keep the integrity of the green machining edge.
