Abstract According to the procedure of measurement uncertainty in analysis and testing, and combined with the measurement and analysis principle of oxygen analyzer, the uncertainty of determining oxygen content in electrolytic iron powder by pulse melting reduction-infrared absorption method was evaluated. Through analysis of the measurement process, the establishment of mathematical model, each uncertainty component was calculated. Results show that the relative standard uncertainty caused by measurement repeatability is 0.002 360, the relative standard uncertainty caused by standard substances is 0.000 188, the relative standard uncertainty caused by instrument calibration is 0.000 584, the relative standard uncertainty caused by sample weighing is 0.004 350, and the relative standard uncertainty caused by instrument indication value is very small and negligible, thus obtaining an expanded uncertainty of 0.000 490%. The result of determination of oxygen content in electrolytic iron powder by pulse melting reduction-infrared absorption method is as follows: [WM=(0.048 800±0.000 490)%,][k=2.]It provides a theoretical basis for the accuracy of oxygen content determination of electrolytic iron powder.
