Abstract The research work on the composition design,production process and microstructure of high alloying
γ′ phase precipitation enhanced Nickel-based powder metallurgy(PM)superalloy FGH4097 developed in China in
the early 21st century were summarized in this paper. The further investigation in improving the material utilization
of FGH4097 turbine disk was discussed.
