Abstract Powder metallurgy is the mass production method for cycloid rotor, it is necessary to solve the problem of precision manufacturing for complex cavity mold. The rotor pump working principle, the influence law of parameter change and manufacturing process on tooth profile were studied, and was analyzed through computer programming, thus the influence law of powder metallurgy process on the cycloidal tooth profile was obtained. The rotor cavity precision machining process was designed, eventually the mould was formed, and the rotor was work out.
