Abstract:With excellent catalytic effect on oxygen reduction reaction and oxidation reaction of small organic molecules, Pt- based nanomaterials show irreplaceable position in the field of fuel cells and have gained considerable attention in the recent years. The low cost- effective catalysts hinder the commercialization of fuel cell technology. It is benefit for understanding the electro- catalytic mechanism by controlling the structure, morphology and component of Pt- based nanomaterials and investigating the catalytic properties. On this basis, developing facile and controllable methods to acquire catalysts with high activity and stability is extremely important for the application of fuel cells. The recent development of synthetic methods and catalytic investigation is elaborated here by introducing Pt nanoparticles, component adjustment, surface control and 3- dimentional structure acquisition.
