Abstract:Sr0. 42La0. 38Ca0. 2Fe10. 4-xCo0. 24ZnxO19 (x=0,0. 05,0. 10,0. 15,0. 20) hexaferrite samples were prepared by the ceramic process. The microstructure and magnetic properties of these compounds were characterized by means of X- ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope and a B- H meter. The results showed that with the increasing of ZnO- doped, the phase composition of the calcined ferrite powders were all single M phase and the average grain size gradually increased. The remanence Br of samples increased with the increasing of x, while the intrinsic coercivity force HcJ decreased obviously. With some specific additives, the optimum magnetic properties of sintered ferrite samples (Br =441 mT, HcJ =437 kA/m) could be obtained when x=0. 10.
