Abstract:The effect of compound catalyst Co2B/TiO2 on hydrogen generation by hydrolysis of NaBH4 was studied through drainage method. The results show that the effects of the proportioning and amount of Co2B/TiO2 on amount of hydrogen release of NaBH4 are not obvious. Changing the proportioning and the amount of Co2B/TiO2, the amount of hydrogen release by hydrolysis of NaBH4 is between 343-375 mL. However, the study on the rate of hydrogen release finds that the effects of the proportioning and amount of Co2B/TiO2 on the rate of hydrogen release are very marked. The rate of hydrogen release of samples doped with Co2B/TiO2 presents an obvious increase with the amount of Co2B/TiO2 when the amount of Co2B/TiO2 is 1%-4%. Among all the samples doped with Co2B/TiO2, the rate of hydrogen release of the sample doped with 5% Co2B/2TiO2 is the largest and reaches 187.5 mL/min.
