Abstract:The effect of mixed catalyst CoB/ La2O3 on hydrolysis of NaBH4 was studied through drainage method. The results show that the rate of hydrogen release of samples doped with CoB/ La2O3 presents an obvious increase with the amount of CoB/La2O3 when the amount of CoB/ La2O3 is between 1%-4%. Among all samples, the hydrogen release rate of the sample doped with 4%(70% CoB and 30% La2O3 ) is the fast about 260 mL/min. However, the result from research of the amount of hydrogen release showed that the amount of the mixed catalyst Co2B/ La2O3 and ratio have an obvious influence on hydrogen release amount of NaBH4. In addition, the results showed that the sample doped with 4%(80% CoB and 20% La2O3 ) has the largest hydrogen amount and reaches at 575 mL, while the rate of hydrogen release presents a decrease trend.
