Development and application of amorphous master alloy preparation by process of EBT+LF+VD

Abstract:The amorphous master alloy were prepared by process of EBT+LF+VD. The raw material and harmful element such as element C,P,Mn were controled in EBT. The element S and inclusions were controled by slagging. The chemical composition in LF ladle refining furnace were controled. The element N,H,O in melting were removed steel in VD vacuum refining furnace, thus efficiently reduced oxide inclusions and nitride inclusions in master alloy. The application shows that the amorphous master alloy is typical of accurate composition, extra-low content of inclusions and gas, increased rate of finished product and property of strip. The average qualified rate of the system is increased by about 10.07%, P1.3/50 reduce average 0.01 W/ kg, Bs average increase of 0.012 T, single volume quality increased by an average of 179 kg.
