Abstract:The iron-based soft magnetic material for claw pole was prepared by powder metallurgy process, and the effects of warm compaction process on its microstructure and magnetic properties were studied by XRD, density, SEM and magnetic properties tests. The results show that the water atomized iron powder compacted under the condition of 140 ℃, 800 MPa has the highest green density of 7.31 g/cm3 and the highest sintered density of 7.42 g/cm3 after 1 250 ℃ sintering in vacuum. The sintered sample has the saturation magnetization of 205.5 Am2/kg and the coercivity of 7.98 A/m. The warm-compacted sample surface is smooth and the porosity is obviously reduced, there is no obvious large-scale connected porosity.
