Abstract:Mo2FeB2 based cermets with various NbC contents were prepared by the method of in situ reaction and vacuum sintering. Microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples were also studied. Results show that the hard phase is refined and uniformly distributed in the binder phase, and the hardness and wear resistance of the samples increase firstly and then decrease with the NbC content increasing. The sample has the highest hardness and best wear resistance when the mass percent of NbC is 6.0%.
