Abstract:The sinter hardening process of low pre-alloyed powder is a process combining sintering and heat treatment, which can shorten the production cycle and reduce the cost, and at the same time, low alloy can also reduce hardenability. The hardening ability of 1300WA (0.5Mo-1.8Ni) and 5301SH (0.5Ni-0.9Mo-0.38Mn) sintered powders produced by some company, after mixing Cu and C with different contents was studied in the cooling rate range of 0.56-1.94 ℃/s. The results show that the martensite content in the two materials obviously increases with the increase of cooling rate, and the sintering hardening ability obviously increases with the increase of Cu content. When the mass percent of Cu is more than 1.5% and the cooling rate is higher than 1.61 ℃/s, almost full of martensite phase is obtained in 5301SH. However, 1300WA has the similar effect when the Cu mass percent is greater than 2.0% and the cooling rate reaches 1.94 ℃/s.
