Abstract:Titanium alloy has high specific strength, fatigue strength and corrosion resistance, but its surface hardness
and wear resistance are poor, improving its wear resistance has been a research hotspot. The research on improving
the wear resistance of titanium alloy can be divided into two methods: surface treatment and integral treatment.
Surface treatment is mainly through the formation of a special coating or work hardening layer on the surface
of titanium alloy to improve its wear resistance; The overall treatment is mainly through adding or synthesizing ceramic
components with high hardness to strengthen the matrix to improve the overall wear resistance of the material.
The strengthening mechanism of the two treatment methods is similar to that of titanium alloy, but the overall
treatment method has more practical engineering significance for the application of titanium alloy under harsh conditions.
