Abstract:Aluminum powder is the most commonly used metal fuel in the explosives and propellants industry.
How to make aluminum powder react as completely as possible in explosives and propellants has always been a
difficult problem to solve. The combustion-assisted materials and technologies for aluminum powder are systematically
reviewed and the different mechanism of promoting the combustion of aluminum powder is analyzed in this
paper. Ammonium perchlorate(AP), fluorine-containing materials, nitro-containing compounds, azide-based materials,
etc. have significant auxiliary effects on the oxidation of aluminum powder, and the aluminum-containing
composites prepared by self-assembly process can help aluminum powder react completely more effectively.
