Abstract:The process method to produce amorphous C-core with Fe78Si9B13 amorphous alloy strips was introduced. The relationships of cross section’s microstructure to core loss and inductance were researched by scan electron microscope (SEM) and soft magnetic AC instrument and inductance tester. The results of research show that the amorphous strip layer insulation in cross section can be recovered by acid corrosion, which led to the decrease of core loss. The decreasing value is more obvious with higher acid corrosion frequency, and inductance is increased during acid corrosion process. Acid corrosion on cross section of amorphous C-core is an effective method to recover layer insulation and decrease core loss.
